“Pioneers in AI” Science For You – SciFY program has been selected for the second time as one of the top 100 projects worldwide that leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) to support the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The selection was made by the IRCAI Global Top 100, an international initiative of the International Research Centre on Artificial Intelligence (IRCAI) under the auspices of UNESCO.
This distinction is a significant international recognition of our collective effort and our steadfast commitment to contribute substantially to the development and education around Artificial Intelligence.
A decisive factor in this choice was the expansion of the program to include people with disabilities in Artificial Intelligence, a pioneering initiative (the “People with Disabilities Pioneers in Artificial Intelligence” program).
We create AI pioneers
“Pioneers in AI” is an initiative that builds knowledge and skills in individuals and organizations, enabling them to develop the ability to understand, use, and co-shape Artificial Intelligence solutions and policies.
Through the program:
- We train citizens, professionals, and businesses in AI.
- We create networks of collaboration and innovation.
- We support the development of new initiatives.
- We adapt educational programs to the needs of each group.
Thus, we invest in capacity-building to empower new AI innovators across multiple sectors and help organizations meaningfully integrate AI into their operations and strategies.
AI with inclusion, without exclusions
We firmly believe that Artificial Intelligence must be accessible to all.
That is why, through the “People with Disabilities Pioneers in Artificial Intelligence” program, part of “Pioneers in AI”, we train and support people with disabilities to work as data annotators, preparing data to train AI models.
In this way:
- We create new professional opportunities for people with disabilities in a rapidly growing sector.
- We contribute to the development of more effective and inclusive AI systems.
The program “People with Disabilities Pioneers in Artificial Intelligence” is implemented by Science For You – SciFY and the Centre for the Child and the Adolescent, with the support of the John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation and METLEN.
We contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals
Through “Pioneers in AI,” we actively contribute to:
- SDG 4 – Quality Education
- SDG 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth
- SDG 10 – Reduced Inequalities
Our inclusion in the IRCAI Global Top 100 reinforces our belief that technology can and should act as a lever for social progress. We continue with even greater determination to develop solutions that respond to real needs and have a measurable, meaningful impact.
